From holiday lets to new properties to live in full time, Barn Conversions are a real passion of ours. Each individual barn has had its own character and we have made the most of these features within the barns.

Making the most of features within existing Barns can really add a great feel to the Barn Conversions. Milton End Holiday Lets really shows this off with the original Milling Wheel where animals would drive the wheel around to roll the wheat or barley and it also used to cut the Chaff, that’s why the holiday let showing this piece off is called “The Chaff House” . We made the most of this feature by building it in within the kitchen as shown in the picture.

Within barn conversions you will normally see a lot of hardwood, some that will have rotted over the years and other pieces that are saveable with some care, attention and add-ons. It is important when adding on to hardwood to use traditional methods of joinery allowing the movement required, but also keeping its structural integrity. We are experts at using a mix of old, new and restored oak in beautiful barn conversions. Can you tell the old from the new in this picture?
